3 Steps to Action and Achievement

Are you sticking with your New Year’s resolutions?

Probably not!

If you are (or not), let’s step up the intensity by creating an “Action Plan.”

If you asked a sharp shooter or an archer to hit the bull’s-eye, they would!
How would you know they hit the target? Or missed it?
I know what your thinking …
“What is this bonehead asking me? Of course I would know if the target was hit, I can SEE it!!”

So, I ask you?
How do you know if you are on track to hitting your target?
What kind of feedback are you giving yourself to let you know if you are even close?

How about a 90 Day Action Plan?
It’s simple, I promise …
Here’s how:

Take sheet of paper and draw three columns.
- One titled: Goals
- The second titled: Action Plan
- And the third column: Status

Now, list one (or more) of the most important goals you wish to achieve. Such as:
Goal:
Lose 30 pounds

In the Action Plan column, you would write all the steps you would need to take to achieve this goal.

Action Plan:
Find an ideal diet
— Or use one that worked for you in the past
— Or hire a nutritionist
Find an effective exercise routine
— Or join a gym, yoga or Pilates studio

Status:
This is the section where you put your time lines or due dates.
Upon completion, check off or put a line through each “Status” achievement level.

Note: Do NOT use the term “deadline,” since this is an exercise of LIVING to your maximum potential.

Example:

Goal:—————–Action Plan: ——— Status:
Lose 30 pounds —————————-10 pounds – March
————————————————10 pounds – April
————————————————10 pounds – May

————————Hire Nutritionist———By March 1st
————————Hire Personal trainer—-By March 1st

Now you have your goals clearly defined with specific action plans for their achievement. They can be as detailed as you wish.
More importantly, it is about creating your target or bull’s-eye, because without it, you will wander aimlessly though life; always wishing and wanting, but never getting.

At the end of the 90 days, start new goals or finish others.
